Please join us for nine days of prayer leading up to the celebration of Pentecost.
Pentecost Novena
Friday, May 22 – Saturday, May 30
Daily, 8:00 AM – 8:10 AM
Pentecost is a wonderful time to come together in prayer since it marks the first novena. After Jesus’ Ascension into heaven, He commanded His disciples to come together in the upper room to devote themselves to constant prayer (Acts 1:14). They prayed for nine days before receiving the Holy Spirit on Pentecost.
Please join us for nine days of prayer in preparation of Pentecost. On each of those nine days, we will pray together the prayer below:
Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love. Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created. And You shall renew the face of the earth.
O, God, who by the light of the Holy Spirit, did instruct the hearts of the faithful, grant that by the same Holy Spirit we may be truly wise and ever enjoy His consolations, through Christ Our Lord. Amen.
