The San Jose State University Catholic Campus Ministry Fund supports Catholic programs at the university. The Diocese of San Jose has partnered with FOCUS (Fellowship of Catholic University Students) to bring on-campus outreach, descipleship and more to the campus.
“FOCUS Missionaries at SJSU provide outreach through the university’s Newman Center under the auspices of the diocese through the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Joseph, guided by Father Ernesto Orci and the priests at the cathedral. With the approval and blessing of Bishop Cantú, [2024] is the first year that FOCUS is involved in campus ministry at SJSU.” (from The Valley Catholic’s article about FOCUS at SJSU).
Additional funding will allow for expanded programs for students and increased outreach on campus.
